Trunk Reinforcement Kit Overview

The RM Engineering Trunk Reinforcement Sleeve Kit strengthens the trunk mounting points used by compatible GT4 MK2, Ring Spec and M235iR / M240iR rear wings.

The kit includes four precision-machined stainless steel M6 reinforcement sleeves and four installation bolts. Professional installation, trunk drilling and permanent sleeve attachment are required.

How the Reinforcement Sleeves Work

Each sleeve connects the upper and lower trunk structures at the rear wing mounting location. This distributes load beyond the outer trunk skin and creates a more stable mounting point for the wing uprights.

Installation

Professional installation is required. Installation involves measuring, drilling, aligning and permanently securing the sleeves within the trunk structure.

For a metal trunk lid, welding is recommended for maximum rigidity. For a composite or carbon fiber trunk lid, use a high-strength structural panel adhesive suitable for bonding metal to the applicable trunk material.

Test-fit every sleeve before welding or applying adhesive. Hole sizing, alignment and contact with the internal trunk structure must be confirmed before permanent installation. Trunk construction and internal clearance may vary between vehicles and aftermarket trunk lids.
