TOYOTA A90 SUPRA GT4+ TIME ATTACK DEVELOPMENT CAR — TIM'S BUILD

Build featured: Tim's Toyota A90 Supra GT4+ Development Car
Written by: Ridgeline Motorsport Team

Every product we develop begins the same way.

Not on a computer screen or in a showroom—but on track.

Tim's Toyota A90 Supra serves as the primary development platform for the Ridgeline Motorsport GT4+ Aero Kit, playing a critical role in refining the aerodynamic package through real-world testing and continuous iteration. Every lap, setup change, and data point has helped shape the GT4+ package into what it is today.

The Complete A90 Supra GT4+ Aero Package

The car is equipped with the complete Ridgeline Motorsport A90 Supra GT4+ Kit, developed as a complete aerodynamic system for track-focused and Time Attack applications. The Toyota Supra aero collection brings together the aerodynamic components developed for the A90/A91 platform, including the GT4+ front and rear aero components featured on this development car.

Rather than designing individual components in isolation, the GT4+ system was engineered as a complete aerodynamic package. The front lip, tunneled splitter, canards, rear wing, hood vent, and roof fin are developed to work together as a balanced aerodynamic system for braking, high-speed corners, and corner exit.

Every component exists for one reason—to make the car faster.

A90 Supra GT4+ Aero Components

The GT4+ program was developed as a complete aerodynamic system, with each component engineered to complement the next. The result is a cohesive Toyota GR Supra A90 GT4+ aero setup rather than a collection of unrelated components.

GT4+ Front Lip

The reinforced GT4+ Front Lip serves as the foundation of the front aero package. Designed to integrate with the Tunneled Splitter, it creates a cleaner aerodynamic transition while maintaining an aggressive OEM-inspired appearance.

GT4+ Tunneled Front Splitter

The GT4+ Tunneled Splitter features a one-piece molded tunnel that improves airflow management beneath the vehicle. Working together with the front lip, it increases chassis rigidity and generates meaningful front-end downforce during medium- and high-speed driving. The Ridgeline Motorsport GT4+ Splitter Kit for Toyota A90 Supra is the corresponding front splitter package developed for this platform.

GT4+ Canards

Developed specifically for the GT4+ platform, the canards complement the complete front aero system by improving front-end aerodynamic response, stability, and turn-in confidence during track driving. The Ridgeline Motorsport GT4+ Canards for Toyota A90 Supra are designed as part of the same GT4+ aerodynamic package.

GT4+ Rear Wing

The GT4+ Rear Wing utilizes a redesigned mounting system and a larger 1600 mm wing profile, producing significantly more rear downforce than the factory GR Supra GT4 wing while reducing the water intrusion concerns associated with traditional GT4 wing installations. The Ridgeline Motorsport GT4+ Wing for Toyota A90/A91 Supra was developed specifically around the A90/A91 platform.

GT4+ Hood Vent

The enlarged hood vent improves engine bay heat extraction while reducing high-pressure air beneath the hood, helping both cooling efficiency and front-end aerodynamic performance. The Ridgeline Motorsport GT4+ Hood Vent for Toyota A90 Supra forms another part of the development car's integrated aero system.

GT4+ RS Roof Fin

Inspired by the Porsche 992 GT3 RS, the GT4+ RS Roof Fin helps guide airflow from the roof toward the rear wing, promoting cleaner airflow and more consistent rear-wing efficiency at speed. The Ridgeline Motorsport GT4+ RS Roof Fin for Toyota A90 Supra extends the GT4+ aerodynamic system onto the roofline.

Performance claims mean very little without real-world results.

Running a stock turbocharger and factory transmission, the GT4+ development car has already demonstrated what a properly engineered aerodynamic package can achieve through track testing.

On 275-width 200TW tires, the car has recorded:

  • WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca — 1:33
  • Buttonwillow Raceway CW13 — 1:50

These lap times were achieved without upgraded engine internals or transmission modifications, highlighting the effectiveness of the complete chassis, suspension, brake, and aerodynamic package.

For us, this is only the beginning.

Built Around Performance

Supporting the GT4+ aero system is a carefully selected collection of motorsport hardware designed to complement the aerodynamic package and track-focused setup.

Braking duties are handled by Paragon Brakes, providing the consistency and confidence required for repeated high-speed sessions.

The suspension is built around Pit Garage Spec Nitron R3 coilovers, allowing precise chassis tuning for different circuits while maintaining excellent mechanical grip and stability.

Inside the cockpit, the car is equipped with a JQ Werks GEN 2 Racing Steering Wheel System, giving the driver direct access to essential vehicle controls through a purpose-built motorsport interface. The system complements the development car's track-focused setup while creating a more connected and intuitive driving environment.

Every component has been chosen to complement the aerodynamic package, creating a balanced car that is predictable, confidence-inspiring, and capable of extracting maximum performance from relatively modest power.

The Next Chapter

Development never truly ends.

The next phase for Tim's Supra is already underway. With the aerodynamic package now thoroughly validated through track testing, attention turns toward increasing power.

The car will soon receive a larger turbocharger along with a built transmission, unlocking the next level of performance and allowing us to explore the full potential of the GT4+ platform.

The goal isn't simply to make more horsepower.

It's to build a faster, more complete Time Attack car while continuing to develop products that our customers can trust on both the street and the racetrack.

We're excited to see what comes next.

Because every lap teaches us something new—and the GT4+ program is just getting started.
