GT4+ Front Splitter Kit Overview

The RM Engineering GT4+ Front Splitter Kit is a chassis-mounted front aero system developed for the Toyota GR Supra A90 and A91. It combines a reinforced carbon fiber front lip with a molded tunneled splitter, structural mounting components and replaceable skid blocks.

Base and EVO configurations are available. The EVO kit adds pre-preg carbon fiber splitter endplates for more track-focused front-end aerodynamic performance.

Two-Piece Tunneled Splitter Design

The upper front lip creates the transition between the factory bumper and lower splitter, while chassis-mounted brackets and support rods transfer aerodynamic load into the vehicle’s front structure instead of relying solely on the bumper cover.

Unlike a conventional flat Supra front splitter with a universal bolt-on diffuser, the lower splitter incorporates a purpose-built aerodynamic tunnel directly into its molded geometry. Air accelerates through the tunnel inlet before expanding downstream, helping create a lower-pressure region beneath the splitter and generate front-end aerodynamic load.

Base and EVO Configurations

Configuration Aero Components Intended Use
GT4+ Base Reinforced carbon front lip and tunneled front splitter High-performance street, dual-purpose and track-day builds
GT4+ EVO Base front lip and tunneled splitter with pre-preg carbon fiber endplates More track-focused applications requiring additional front aerodynamic load

The EVO endplates use a three-dimensional profile developed to reduce lateral pressure leakage from the outer splitter surface and guide airflow away from the front-wheel region.

Canards are not included with either configuration. Add the Toyota GR Supra A90/A91 GT4+ Carbon Fiber Canards to complete the intended front bumper aero configuration.

CFD-Analyzed Splitter Performance

The GT4+ splitter was evaluated through full-vehicle CFD analysis at 100 km/h. The following 120 mph figures were normalized from the original CFD solution using the standard velocity-squared relationship, with no additional performance or calibration multiplier applied.

Splitter Configuration Integrated Splitter Load at 120 mph Splitter Aerodynamic L/D
Base 179.8 lbf 5.35
EVO 230.7 lbf 6.39

Within the complete EVO vehicle configuration, integrated splitter load increased by 28.3%, while splitter aerodynamic efficiency improved by 19.4% compared with the Base configuration.

The EVO result represents the complete splitter assembly operating within the corresponding full-vehicle configuration. The individual contribution of the splitter endplates was not isolated from the surrounding aerodynamic package interactions.

Installation Requirements

Professional installation is recommended. Installation requires careful positioning of the front lip, splitter, chassis-mounted brackets, support rods and skid blocks, along with minor modification of selected factory components.

Review the Toyota A90 Supra GT4+ Splitter Kit Installation Guide before removing, drilling, trimming or modifying any factory components.

After installation:

  • Confirm that every mounting point and fastener is secure
  • Verify adequate ground clearance before driving
  • Inspect the splitter, brackets and hardware before every track event
  • Recheck the hardware after the first track session
  • Replace damaged hardware or skid blocks before further use
  • Do not use the splitter as a lifting or jacking point

Vehicle ride height, rake, suspension stiffness and front-end clearance should be evaluated before track use.

Product Questions

Is this product a front lip or a front splitter?

It is a complete two-piece front aero system. The upper component is a reinforced carbon fiber front lip or airdam, while the lower component is a chassis-mounted tunneled front splitter. The two components are designed to operate together.

What is the difference between the Base and EVO splitter kits?

The Base kit includes the reinforced front lip and tunneled splitter without outer endplates. The EVO kit adds a pair of pre-preg carbon fiber splitter endplates developed to reduce lateral pressure leakage and improve use of the outer splitter surface.

The Base configuration is better suited to dual-purpose street and track builds, while the EVO configuration is the more track-focused option.

How does the integrated diffuser tunnel work?

The molded tunnel accelerates airflow through its inlet and then allows it to expand downstream. This helps establish a lower-pressure region beneath the splitter and contributes to front-end aerodynamic loading.

Because the tunnel is formed directly into the splitter, its inlet, curvature and expansion profile are controlled as part of the complete molded component rather than added as a universal bolt-on diffuser.

Are the GT4+ canards included with the splitter kit?

No. The four-piece carbon fiber canard set is sold separately. It was developed to complement the front lip and tunneled splitter as part of the complete GT4+ front aero configuration.

How are the reported splitter figures different from whole-vehicle downforce?

The reported splitter load is the integrated aerodynamic force acting on the selected splitter surfaces. It should not be added directly to other component figures to calculate whole-vehicle net downforce because the body, underbody, wheels and cooling surfaces may generate opposing forces and aerodynamic interactions.

Does installation require permanent modification?

Installation requires minor modification of selected factory components to position and secure the chassis-mounted splitter system. Exact requirements may vary with model year, bumper configuration and existing modifications. Professional installation is recommended.
