This Paragon PA036 front big brake kit fits BMW E46 M3 and pairs application-specific calipers with two-piece rotors, pads and mounting hardware. The PA036 Endurance specification uses 25mm pads for extended track use.

Kit configuration and fitment

This page offers the configurations stated above. Rotor size, caliper model and finish must match the ordered kit; a similar kit for the same vehicle may use different components.

Caliper and rotor design

The PA036 calipers work with Paragon two-piece iron rotors and application-specific mounting brackets. Paragon machines the caliper body from 6061-T6 aluminum and uses staggered piston sizes. The fully floating rotor mounting allows the iron ring to expand through heat cycles.

Hard anodizing and ENP electroless nickel plating are the finishes offered where listed. Choose from this page’s actual configurations; the finish does not establish wheel clearance.

PA036 is the Endurance caliper family. Its 25mm pad specification provides a different wear allowance from the 18mm PBP819SN pads used by PA015/PA035; order service pads to match PA036.

What is included

  • Two PA036 calipers and two Paragon rotor assemblies for the listed axle
  • A set of brake pads in the ordered compound
  • Caliper mounting brackets and required mounting hardware
  • Goodridge stainless steel braided brake lines
  • Paragon general big brake kit installation guide (PDF)

Choose a pad compound

P2 Sport Comfort is the street-oriented choice. P3 Road & Track covers sport driving and light track duty. R5 and R7 target dedicated track/competition use and bring greater noise, dust and a higher operating-temperature requirement. Choose for the complete braking setup rather than friction rating alone.

Wheel clearance and installation

Check a wheel-fitment template for the exact rotor/caliper configuration before ordering. Wheel diameter alone does not establish barrel or spoke clearance. Include any aftermarket suspension hardware in the check, then confirm brake-line routing and component clearance during professional installation.

Product FAQs

Does this kit upgrade both axles?

No. It is an axle-specific front kit for BMW E46 M3. The listed calipers, rotors, pads and hardware serve that axle.

What must I check before ordering?

Confirm the vehicle/chassis, front axle, ordered rotor/caliper configuration and wheel clearance. Fitment should include any modified suspension components.

Does a larger wheel guarantee clearance?

No. Barrel shape, spoke design and offset matter as well as diameter. Use the template for the exact kit rather than relying on nominal wheel size.

Which replacement pads does this caliper use?

PA036 uses PBP819SN-25, a 25mm-thick specification.
