Rotor-to-hat mounting D-Bobbin (10 bolt)

Design and serviceability

The iron friction ring and aluminum hat separate the rotor’s braking surface from its mounting section. CM-250 iron is heat treated and surface machined, while the aluminum hat provides a lightweight mounting structure. The slotted face helps maintain a clean pad contact surface during braking.

The floating ring-to-hat connection allows thermal expansion as brake temperatures rise. Directional internal vanes guide cooling air through the rotor; install each assembly on its specified side.

Brake-package requirements

Factory M Carbon Ceramic calipers; use the manufacturer-specified factory iron-brake pad shape.

Required pad shape: Paragon PBP1296 / factory iron-brake shape. The original carbon-ceramic pad shape is not compatible with this conversion. Confirm both caliper and pad specification before installation.

Hat finish and installation

Available hat finish: Mil-Spec Black Hard Coat Anodizing; Mil-Spec Hard Coat Anodizing. Paragon recommends the undyed hard-anodized finish for heavy track use because dyed black hats can discolor under high heat. Choose for your use case, then follow the Paragon general rotor installation and bedding guide (PDF).

What is included

Two assembled rotor units for the listed axle and access to the Paragon general rotor installation and bedding guide (PDF).

Product FAQs

Are these 370x24mm rotors for the front or rear?

This listing is for the rear axle and includes two rotor assemblies for BMW G87 M2 / G80 M3 / G82 M4.

Which brake system do they fit?

Factory M Carbon Ceramic calipers; use the manufacturer-specified factory iron-brake pad shape. Match the installed hardware, not just the vehicle model.

Is this a complete brake kit?

No. This listing supplies a rotor pair. Calipers and brake pads are not included.

Can I reuse my carbon-ceramic pads?

No. This conversion requires the factory iron-brake pad shape: PBP1296 for the rear axle. The OEM carbon-ceramic pad shape is incompatible.
