THE RIDGELINE MOTORSPORT G87 M2: A CLUBSPORT BUILD FOR EVERY DAY

Build featured: Ridgeline Motorsport’s Alpine White BMW G87 M2

QUICK ANSWER

Our Alpine White G87 M2 combines Ridgeline Motorsport aero, raw CNC-finished BBS E88 wheels, Nitron R3 suspension and a motorsport-inspired cockpit in a car built for everyday use.

The goal is a complete Clubsport M2: something we can take to the grocery store, enjoy on a weekend drive and bring to the track. From the low-mounted Ring Spec Wing V2 to the adjustable chassis-mounted front splitter, every addition follows that brief.

THE PURPOSE: A CAR WE WANT TO DRIVE EVERYWHERE

Our shop G87 represents how we like to build a BMW.

We wanted the precision and character of a thoughtfully prepared track car while keeping the everyday appeal of the M2 intact. That means considering the entire package: how the aero complements the bodywork, how the wheels sit in the arches, how the suspension can be adjusted and how the controls feel from the driver’s seat.

The factory Alpine White paint provides a clean foundation. Exposed carbon, raw-finished wheels and paint-matched details give the car its identity while preserving the original design.

This is a car we want to keep driving, whether the destination is a local coffee stop or the next track day.

RING SPEC WING V2: THE STREET SPEC CONFIGURATION

At the rear, our Ring Spec Wing V2 features autoclaved pre-preg dry carbon fiber construction, paired with 16 cm Street Spec uprights.

The lower mounting position suits the purpose of this build, giving the G87 a motorsport influence while keeping the wing visually connected to the car’s compact proportions.

The endplates are paint-matched to the factory Alpine White finish. That detail ties the rear aero into the bodywork while allowing the exposed carbon mainplane to remain a focal point.

AN ADJUSTABLE, CHASSIS-MOUNTED FRONT SPLITTER

The front features our newly released G87 M2 Adjustable Carbon Fiber Front Splitter.

Its GTS-style design takes inspiration from the factory M Performance track package. An adjustable splitter and chassis-mounted support bring a functional approach to a front end that still feels appropriate for a street-driven BMW.

Together with the Street Spec rear wing, it establishes the direction of the car: purposeful aero, with proportions chosen around a build that sees both road and track use.

GT4+ CANARDS: A FRONT-END DETAIL WITH PURPOSE

The car also features our RM Engineering GT4+ Canards for BMW G87 M2. These vehicle-specific carbon fiber dive planes follow the front bumper’s contours, adding a focused motorsport detail alongside the adjustable chassis-mounted splitter.

On our shop G87, the canards bring another element of the GT4+ program into a street-and-track Clubsport build, complementing the exposed carbon and Alpine White bodywork.

RAW CNC-FINISHED BBS E88 WHEELS

The latest addition is a set of raw CNC-finished BBS E88 wheels in a 19 × 11 square configuration, paired with Yokohama ADVAN A052 tires.

The raw finish brings a mechanical character to the Alpine White bodywork. Against the painted surfaces and exposed carbon, the wheels add another material and texture without making the car feel overstyled.

The square configuration uses the same wheel dimensions at both axles, supporting the consistent, setup-focused approach behind the build.

NITRON R3 AND SPL: GETTING THE SETUP RIGHT

Underneath, the G87 runs Nitron R3 suspension alongside a comprehensive setup from the SPL Parts catalog.

The chassis is a central part of the project. Wheels, tires and aero all need a suspension setup that supports their intended use. The Nitron and SPL combination provides the damping and geometry adjustment needed to develop that setup.

Our focus is on making the car feel coherent from the driver’s seat, with alignment, ride height and suspension settings considered as part of the complete package.

A MOTORSPORT-INSPIRED COCKPIT

Inside, Sparco seats anchor the cockpit, joined by a JQ WERKS MADTRACE® GEN2 PODIUM LINE system for BMW G Chassis and a Porsche 991 Cup steering wheel.

The steering wheel is one of the defining details of the build. Paired with the JQ WERKS system, it brings a race-car touch to the controls the driver interacts with most.

The cockpit follows the same philosophy as the exterior: carefully selected motorsport hardware integrated into a car that continues to see everyday use.

ALPINEX CARBON FIBER DETAILS

Selected AlpineX Dynamics carbon fiber accents add subtle finishing touches around the car, complementing the Alpine White paint and Ridgeline Motorsport aero.

These smaller pieces carry the carbon theme through the build. They help the car feel cohesive up close, connecting the larger aero components with the details around them.

The result is a clean Clubsport look that retains the character of the original G87 bodywork.

THE DETAILS UNDER THE HOOD

An Eventuri intake and Eventuri engine cover continue the carbon theme into the engine bay.

Paint-matched KRAE Studio caps add another considered finishing detail. Like the Alpine White wing endplates, they bring a consistent color treatment to areas that reward a closer look.

Those smaller choices matter on a shop car. We want the details under the hood to receive the same attention as the parts people notice first.

THE CLUBSPORT IDEA, OUR WAY

This G87 is built around the enjoyment of using it.

The early-morning drive, everyday errands and track-day preparation all belong to the same ownership experience. Our goal is a car that makes each of those moments feel special, with the hardware, chassis setup and finishing details working toward that purpose.

From its Street Spec rear wing to its raw BBS E88 wheels and Porsche 991 Cup steering wheel, every part contributes to our interpretation of a modern Clubsport M2.
