Richmond's F87 M2 Competition Clubsport Build

Some builds are designed to stand out. Others are designed to stand the test of time.

Richmond's Hockenheim Silver Metallic F87 M2 Competition is a perfect example of the latter. Built around a carefully selected combination of motorsport components and OEM-inspired styling, the car strikes a balance between track capability and everyday drivability—everything a proper Clubsport build should be.

Rather than chasing extremes, this M2 Competition demonstrates how thoughtful engineering and cohesive design can create a car that feels equally at home on the street, through mountain roads, or attacking a race circuit.

Ridgeline Motorsport Clubsport Aero

At the center of the build is the complete Ridgeline Motorsport Clubsport Package, developed to deliver functional aerodynamic performance while preserving the factory design language of the F87 chassis.

The front end features our GTS Chassis-Mounted Splitter Kit, utilizing a chassis-mounted support structure that transfers aerodynamic loads directly into the chassis for increased rigidity and stability under high-speed driving.

At the rear, the car is equipped with our Ring Spec Wing V2, mounted using the GT4 High Mount. The elevated mounting position places the wing in cleaner airflow, increasing rear stability and aerodynamic efficiency while giving the car an unmistakable motorsport silhouette.

Together, the front and rear aero package creates a balanced platform that inspires confidence on track without compromising everyday usability.

Built Around the Chassis

Supporting the aero package is a collection of components selected for both performance and reliability.

A set of silver BBS E88 motorsport wheels perfectly complements the Hockenheim Silver Metallic paint, creating a timeless combination that looks as if it could have come directly from BMW Motorsport.

Braking is handled by the Brembo Pista brake system, providing exceptional stopping power and thermal consistency during repeated track sessions while remaining refined enough for spirited street driving.

Every component works together to create a chassis that feels composed, predictable, and rewarding to drive in every environment.

A Driver-Focused Interior

Inside the cabin, the motorsport philosophy continues.

A pair of Recaro Podium seats provides exceptional support while maintaining a premium, OEM-quality appearance that perfectly suits the character of the build.

Mounted ahead of the driver is the JQ Werks Hub System, creating a cleaner and more engaging steering interface while reinforcing the connection between driver and machine.

The interior remains purposeful without becoming excessive, preserving the balance between competition-inspired performance and everyday comfort.

The Ideal Dual-Duty M2 Competition

Many M2 Competition builds are designed exclusively for the street or the racetrack.

Richmond's car proves there doesn't have to be a compromise.

The Ridgeline Motorsport Clubsport Package, Ring Spec Wing V2 with GT4 High Mount, silver BBS E88 wheels, Brembo Pista brakes, Recaro Podium seats, and JQ Werks Hub System all contribute to a build that feels equally capable on a weekend canyon drive, a local cars and coffee, or a full day at the circuit.

To us, this is exactly what a dual-duty M2 Competition should be.

Fast enough to perform when the helmet goes on.

Refined enough to enjoy when it comes off.
